SPIRITUAL
It was Mahalia Jackson we were channelling when recording this great funereal piece. Never having performed a spiritual before we hardly knew ourselves on the playback. Elisa learned the song on the session, capturing its essence in a couple of takes, all done in less than an hour. The superb singer that she is, I had come to expect no less.
